About Keith

Published professional photographer, Keith Briley is based in Charleston, South Carolina and is the founder/owner/operator of Charleston Photography Tours, Photography Workshop Company and the online mentor-ship program Sharpen Your Shutter. If you happen to visit the Charleston area, keep an eye out for him. There's a good chance you may see him chasing that one-of-a-kind light the beautiful Lowcountry provides.  

Keith is known by his many clients as being a patient and exceptional teacher and workshop leader. He is passionate and intent on sharing that passion with the folks he travels with.  

In 2013, Keith married his bride Tiffany, who is also a professional landscape photographer. Together they enjoy regular scouting trips where they look for new locations, photographic opportunities and adventures.   

On a personal note, Keith has an abundance of passion for most things in life; God, his family (including their four dogs), critters of every kind, music and photography. He is a firm believer of living in the moment.

"Stop for a minute. Take a look around you. We are constantly surrounded by beauty that we take for granted every day. You just have to recognize it and give it a moment of your time. Become awed and inspired by it. Let it move you!" 

Keith takes this approach with every capture of his camera hoping that he can share that same emotion with the viewer.

His advice for fellow photographers: 'Don't let rules or the work of others intimidate you. Of course there's something to be said for the perfect composition, but if you shoot because you're trying to impress or obtain the highest score, you will soon be robbed of the passion you once had'.
